However, due to limitations of certain testing instruments and diagnostic criteria, not every type of assessment can be offered to every age group.  We will be happy to discuss your specific needs!

And, here our some of our necessary disclosures …please bear with us:

Further, while most services can be offered through insurance, individual insurance guidelines and medical necessity guidelines require a limited number of services to be out of pocket, and, unfortunately,  these will not be able to be processed through insurance.  These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessment requests that do not meet medical necessity criteria and are not treatment-related.
  • Assessment requests that fall outside of coverage guidelines for your specific insurance (sometimes based on age, insurance, referral/diagnostic question, and type of evaluation).
  • Forensic services, independent consultative examinations, and evaluations performed for the specific intent of meeting certain criteria or fulfilling certain legal/court/administrative/ requirements.  This could include, but is not limited to, evaluations performed primarily for: entrance into a  program, specifically to meet disability criteria, for a court or civil or criminal legal action, specifically meeting waiver program criteria, fitness-for-duty, employment screenings, etc.).

All of these exclusions are typically industry standard, and based on insurance and ethical/professional standards.  They are not specific to Easton Neuropsychology.  The exclusions also do not mean that we don’t perform these types of evaluations.  We frequently do!  We just can’t accommodate doing them through insurance.
